Social housing Karditsa IX” & “Trikala VI”

With theirbudgets, valuing M58€ & M28.5at the time of construction, these modern developments are situated in areas of  ​110.000m.sq. and 67.000m.sq., respectively and reside at the outskirts of the town of Karditsa and Trikala (as named), in Central Greece. Road junctions were also constructed, to connect the complexes to the existing road network.


With a total budget over M85€(incl. VAT), theycomprises 412 housing units in 66 building blocks of semi-detached houses and flats, a meeting room, and two shops. In both project was also included the design and build of community’s infrastructure and landscaping; access roads and pavements, water supply and drainage, public lighting, parks and playgrounds, walkways and green gardens. Residences range from 86 to 120 sq.m, consisting of three or four bedrooms, each one with allocated parking space.

ARXITEX’s commitment to environmental sustainability and in using advanced technologies, was present once again, as a contribution to the community. Using company’s own funds, the heating systems for all properties were redesigned and dual energy systems were installed, combining gas and solar water heating. This way all new homes were built with energy efficiency in mind, upgrading environmental rating and helping minimize running costs for the occupiers.

In addition, most of the properties meet the specifications of Housing for Varying Needs, which means that the homes are accessible for tenants with different mobility requirements.
